The new release only resolves a reported Boot/CSM issue

Today, after only one day since EVGA released BIOS 1.15 for X99 motherboards, the producer has announced the availability of a new version, namely BIOS 1.16, which adds Boot mode back to the boot page due to a reported Boot/CSM issue.

Therefore, if this problem has bothered you after upgrading to build 1.15, then save and extract the appropriate archive for your motherboard model, go into BIOS and load its default settings (save and exit), and close all programs and processes that could interrupt the flash process.

Before initiating the installation, please bear in mind that this task mustn’t be performed on overclocked BIOS settings. Also, flashing a BIOS should only be carried out when the newer version fixes a specific issue that caused improper board behavior.

With this in mind, browse and run the “update.bat” file press “Y” to initiate the upgrade, and wait patiently for your device to do its job. Do not turn off/reboot the system during this process, as this can lead to serious device malfunctions or even render your board unusable.

In the event where the flash box either doesn’t appear or closes immediately, save the extracted content onto an FAT32 USB drive and execute the included .bin file from a DOS command prompt.

That being told, download EVGA X99 BIOS 1.16 for your specific model, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
