After rolling out Sony PS4 Firmware 2.50 Beta, the producer has made available the stable version of its system software update, which renames PSNSM to PlayStationNetwork and allows uploading videos to Dailymotion.

In addition to that, the new 2.50 firmware makes keeping applications suspended while in rest mode possible by setting a checkmark in “Keep Application Suspended,” and gives the ability to back up data from your PS4 to a USB device, as well as to adjust accessibility settings.

When it comes to the SharePlay feature, with the present release, your console can test connection speed, adjust video resolution and frame rate settings, use a touchpad (several options available) to operate playback, and benefits from a few other interesting abilities.

In terms of Trophies, you can now share details and screenshots (saved automatically), search the Internet for details about your achievements and sort them by different criteria, as well as delete those with 0% progress.

Moreover, sub accounts can now be updated to master accounts, Text Drop Shadow is visible in Settings > Themes, Discover gets added to Notifications, and Sony’s PlayStation 4 can upgrade itself via a checkmark in System Software Update Files and Install Automatically.

As for recommendations, Sony advises not to apply any firmware soon before or soon after a power outage or turn off the console during the installation (or interrupting it).

That being said, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 2.50, carefully apply it on your system, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about.
