The downloaded file is SanDisk's SSD Toolkit installer

SanDisk has released a firmware update for their Ultra+ SSD. Version X2306RL is installed with the help of a toolkit, provided by the manufacturer.

This update enhances UECC robustness in the event of an unexpected system power loss as well as thermal throttling responsiveness under high-temperature low-power states.

I have to mention that there's a weird blank space under the “Known issues” section.

According to users that have already tried it out, the toolkit does not properly recognize the drives.

For example, one of the few people that commented on the forum post for the new release mentions that his/her drive labeled SDSSDHP-256G-G25 is listed as SDSSDH2256G by the utility.

The same goes for another person who owns an SDSDHP-128 model that is detected as SDSSDH2-128.

From what they say, these users have tried to install the firmware according to the manual but have failed.

Below is the download link to the firmware. Try your hand at updating and come back with tips for other users.
