Today, Amazon has made available new firmware updates targeted at some of its Kindle Fire units, namely version 7.4.8 and 8.4.8 developed for the Kindle Fire HD 7 and HD 8.9 devices, and firmware 10.4.8 compatible with the Kindle Fire 2nd-generation tablet.

As the producer highlights, these fresh updates include general improvements as well as several fixes that should enhance the devices’ overall performance and stability.

So, if you want an improved version of tablet, get the downloadable update and safely transfer it to your Kindle through a USB cable (copy it onto the internal storage’s root folder).

When the file has completely transferred, go to Quick Settings → More → Device → About → Update Your Kindle, and simply wait for the tablet to do its job – the device will restart and display a “Kindle is upgrading” message, and it might do that several times during the installation.

Therefore, if you consider updating your Kindle, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Amazon device, get the package, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, and enjoy your newly updated tablet.
