Intel has made available two new HD Graphics driver versions developed for its 2nd- and 3rd-generation Core processors, namely 9.17.10.4229 and 10.18.10.4226, respectively, which only issue a fix for the HDCP 2.0 compliance problem.

In terms of compatibility, both updates are suitable for Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, either bit architecture. However, only certain components are valid for each package.

To be more specific, Intel’s 9.17.10.4229 driver requires a 2nd-Gen Core CPU with HD Graphics 2000 or 3000, or Pentium 900, B900, G600, or G800 series processing unit, or one of the producer’s 700, 800, B700, B800, G400, and G500 series Celeron processors.

As for the 4226 build, your system configuration must include a 3rd Generation Core processor with HD Graphics 2500 or 4000, or certain Celeron or Pentium CPU models, as highlighted on the description page.

When it comes to the package content, upgrading your Graphics version will also come along with Media SDK Runtime, OpenCL driver, Graphics Control Panel, a newer display audio driver, as well as the obvious video files.

Considering all the aforementioned aspects, if you intend to apply this release, save and unzip the appropriate archive for your system configuration, run the available setup file, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete and successful upgrade.

That being said, download Intel HD Graphics Driver 9.17.10.4229 or download Intel HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.4226, apply it on your computer, and perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.
