A few moments ago, DOVADO released the first software update developed for its newly-released Tiny AC wireless router, namely firmware version 8.0.1, which improves SpotBoost, speeds up WiFi tethering scanning, and includes support for several devices.

In terms of fixes, DOVADO’s new firmware also resolves an issue with auto-negotiation on Gigabit WAN connections, and adds speed improvements that come in handy when using Huawei 4G modems.

As for the supported products, the Tiny AC unit is compatible with Huawei’s E5786s-32a, E5786s-62a, E5786s-63a, E5776s-601, E5220, and E5775 mobile hotspots, and Netgear’s 790S, 785S, and 782S AirCards, as well as with ZTE MF90C, MF910, and MF910 devices.

In addition to that, DOVADO’s router also can work along with ZTE MF667 3G USB modems, and Huawei E3372 and D-Link DWM-221 4G USB modems.

When it comes to installing this new firmware, simply save and unzip the downloadable archive, log into your router’s web user interface (admin and password should be requested), and go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade.

From there, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted “TINYAC801.bin” file, hit “Start HTTP Upgrade” in order to initiate the installation process, and wait patiently for it to finish (about 3 minutes).

That being said, download Dovado Tiny AC Router Firmware 8.0.1, and apply it on your device in order to be “updated one minute ago.” Also, don’t forget to check back with us as often as possible to be aware when a newer version is available.
