Good news for the AMD fans come from Asrock as they've made available their newest AM3+ board, codenamed M3N78D FX.

Designed to accommodate AMD's 8-core CPUs in the Phenom II and Athlon II series, the M3N78D FX supports a max of 16GB of Dual Channel DDR3 memory. The motherboard works with Nvidia's nForce 720D chipset and has no embedded graphics card.

Asrock's proprietary XFast LAN and XFast USB technologies offer LAN prioritization and lower latency for online gaming, and increased read/  write speed for the USB 2.0 connection, respectively.

It seems like the M3N78D FX isn't aiming for the top-performing boards, since we don't see any USB 3.0 ports, no PCIe 3.0, no SATA 6Gb/s and other features one meets in new boards these days.

On the audio side, the 7.1-channel VIA chip supports THX' TruStudio technology, but that's almost everything about it. The Asrock AppCharger utility provides high current through USB for charging your energy-hungry gadgets.

Finally, you get the chance to test your overclocking skills using the OC DNA utility. We'd rather say that there isn't much new stuff in this new board. Nevertheless, you can download the drivers for the Asrock M3N78D FX motherboard as of today, for free.
