The new release fixes compatibility with Safari browser

Dovado has just rolled out a new firmware package compatible with two of its routers, namely version 8.1.0 for Tiny AC and Pro models, which fixes the problem encountered when configuring the unit using Safari browser.

In addition to that, the present release implements a new Mobile User Interface on Dovado’s Pro router. As for the Tiny AC model, this device receives some SpotBoost improvements that should come in handy in the event that multiple APs have the same SSID.

Another aspect that you should take into account is that firmware 8.1.0 also adds compatibility with ZTE MF831, ZTE MF823, Huawei E3372, Huawei E3372h 4G USB modems, Huawei MS2131 3G USB modem, as well as with Huawei’s E5878s-32 and E5377Bs-605 mobile hotspot devices.

Therefore, if you intend to make use of these changes, save and unzip the appropriate archive for your router model, log into its administration page, and go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade section.

Now, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted .bin file, hit “Start HTTP Upgrade,” and wait for your router to do its job.

Still, bear in mind that, during the installation, you mustn’t close the web browser, make use of any the router’s buttons, terminate the connection between your computer and the wireless unit, or interrupt the process in any way. Doing so can lead to serious malfunctions.

With this in mind, download Dovado PRO Firmware 8.1.0 or download Dovado Tiny AC Firmware 8.1.0, depending on which device you own, apply it on your router, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
