AMD has made available a new FirePro Mobility Unified driver targeted at certain HP and Dell mobile workstations, namely version 14.301.1010, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms.

To be clear about the supported devices, the Dell-related package is to be applied on Precision M2800, M6800, M6700, M4800, M4700, M6600, M4600, and M6500 workstations that include AMD’s FirePro W4170M, M6100, M6000, M5100, M4000, M8900, M5950, and M7820 cards, respectively.

As for the other driver, it can be applied on HP products containing an AMD FirePro M4100 (ZBook 14), M4000 (Elitebook 8770w and 8570w), M2000 (Elitebook 8470w), M5950 (Elitebook 8760w and 8560w), or M3900 (Elitebook 8460w) graphics card.

However, bear in mind that this release still encounters some issues that you should know about. Specifically speaking, flickering and tearing may occur when passive stereo is enabled, and dual W2100 configurations will fail when running certain DX11 SDK demos.

Moreover, some DirectX applications could be a little unstable, DP1.2 daisy chained displays color depth cannot be changed, and improper texture magnification behavior, as well as tearing, might bother certain OGL applications in Eyefinity mode.

When it comes to installing this release, simply make sure your system configuration is supported, save the appropriate package for your workstation producer, run the available setup, and follow all on-screen instructions.

With this in mind, click on the proper link from the ones below, save and apply the package, and check back as often as possible in order to be aware when a newer version is available.
