Just now, Creative has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its well-known Sound Blaster X7 DAC and audio amplifier, namely version 150327, which fixes the USB audio playback issue on certain system and includes several other changes.

If applied, the present firmware will resolve internal mic’s soft audio output issue, audio switching problems between headphones and speaker, as well as the improper noise spotted when Bluetooth is connected but not streaming.

In addition to that, Creative’s team also managed to prevent speaker calibration from affecting headphones, and implement independent master volume setting for headphones and speakers.

Moreover, Sound Blaster X7 owners will receive support for E-MU XM7 passive speakers, as well as be able to adjust volume control of Optical Out in standalone mode.

Considering all aforementioned changes, if you intend to apply this package, first of all you must install Creative Sound Blaster X7 Audio Driver 1.00.15, and only afterwards save the firmware on your local storage.

If all is ok, ensure that the X7 unit is connected to your computer, run the downloaded executable, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

With this in mind, download Creative Sound Blaster X7 Firmware 150327, carefully apply it on  your system, and check our website as often as possible in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
