14 DAY TRIAL // Well-known for its high-end audio technologies, Creative has just rolled out a few moments ago a new update developed specifically for its Sound Blaster Z and Zx audio cards, namely version 1.00.28, which improves overall stability through the included WHQL-certified drivers.
Therefore, if you own one of these devices and want to stay “updated one minute ago,” then save and run the downloadable executable, wait for all files required for the installation to be extracted, select your preferred language, and follow all instructions for a complete update.
As for the compatible operating systems, this release can only be used on computers containing a Sound Blaster Z (SB1500/SB1502) or Zx (SB1506) card, and which are powered only by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms (either bit architectures).
Bear in mind that, even though the executable might work on OSes other than the aforementioned ones, we don’t recommend using it on platforms other than the supported ones.
Moving forward, after finishing the upgrade, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to ensure all changes take effect properly. If the wizard doesn’t request it, make sure to do it manually.
