After adding PlayStation 4 support along with the Creative Sound Blaster EVO Zx and ZxR Firmware 140403 released in mid-April, the producer has just released a new firmware package targeted at its Sound Blaster EVO headset, namely version 1.0.0.7, which includes compatibility with Sony’s PS4 console.

Unlike the Zx and ZxR devices which benefit from a Mac compatible firmware, this release is only suitable for systems running under Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants.

If you intend to apply this version, first make sure the system’s characteristics are supported by this release, get the downloadable package, make sure the Sound Blaster EVO headset is connected to the computer and run the “SBEVO_USB_PCFW_EA_1007.exe” file.

Now, simply follow the instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade. Upon completion, don’t forget to unplug and then plug back the headset to the USB port to ensure that all changes take effect.

Bear in mind that, during the installation, the device must permanently be connected to the computer. Removing the USB cable or rebooting the PC will cause the upgrade to fail, which might result into various device malfunctions.

Therefore, download Creative Sound Blaster EVO Headset Firmware 1.0.0.7, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the new firmware and constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
