Today, Creative has rolled out a new firmware update targeted at its Sound Blaster EVO Wireless headset, namely version 1.0.04, which adds PS4 USB audio support and also fixes an occasional problem that caused the headset to shut down.

When it comes to installing this release, you should know that the producer has made available two downloadable packages, one compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and above platforms, and the other suitable for Microsoft's Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems (both 32- and 64-bit variants).

With this in mind, if you intend to upgrade to this version, save the proper file for your computer OS (extract if necessary), make sure the Sound Blaster EVO Wireless headset is connected directly to the computer’s USB port (USB hubs shouldn’t be used), and run the available setup.

Now follow the on-screen instructions, click “Upgrade” when prompted, and make sure the headset remains connected during the installation. Bear in mind that unplugging the device while the update is in progress might cause serious malfunctions.

Upon completion, simply reconnect the device, and manually reboot your system (if not performed automatically) to ensure all changes take effect properly.

That being said, download Creative Sound Blaster EVO Wireless Headset Firmware 1.0.04, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
