CradlePoint has outed the 4.3.0 firmware version that is targeted at some of its routers, and brings a large number of fixes, new features, and additional changes.

The suitable routers for this version are the IBR600, IBR650, CBR400, and CBR450 machine-to-machine routers, and the MBR1200B and MBR95 small office business devices. In addition to that, the support list also includes the branch office CBA750B and MBR1400(V2) routers.

Though, some of the mentioned devices have the 4G technology available. For this CradlePoint has released another version, namely the 305.10.6 4G modem firmware, that must be installed after upgrading to 4.3.0.

As for new features in this release, the producer adds Feature Licensing, VPN Tunnel, NEMO (Network Mobility) support, and 802.1x Ethernet port security.

When it comes to fixes, the router’s UI can be viewed using Internet Explorer 10, the LTE modems’ status is displayed correctly, and the WAN failure check (such as Active Ping) and the WAN connection (that changed IP address after a crash) issues are resolved.

So, if you consider updating to the 4.3.0 version, first you should know that the process will remove configurations from version 3.2 or lower, therefore, make sure to save the current settings (it’s always a good idea).

Moreover, when using the manual update method, it is recommended to upgrade to the 4.2.1 version before installing the 4.3.0 package.

That being said, follow one of the links below depending on whether or not you have 4G modem technology, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your router’s name.
