Older video cards can still run great with Windows 8

Afraid you had to get rid of your older AMD-powered graphic cards just to get the chance to run Windows 8?

Not ready to fork out more money on modern video technology and thinking you had to change your entire computer? Well, sob no more, as Catalyst drivers for Windows 8 supporting older cards are ready once more.

The AMD Catalyst Legacy display driver 12.6 will be able to run with Windows 8 systems and are now supporting Radeon HD 4000, HD 3000 and HD 2000 series cards. Please note that this release bears no WHQL tag and only supports WDDM 1.1 driver levels. No word on future Microsoft official certification has been heard.

Inside the download package users will find the display driver itself, the OpenCL driver, the AMD integrated one and the classic Catalyst Control Center (CCC). The AMD Catalyst Legacy display driver 12.6 is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8 distributions, all in one place.
