Canon has just made available a new firmware package targeted at its EOS C300 and EOS C300 PL cinema cameras, namely version 1.1.1.1.00, through which the producer apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the previous firmware.

Specifically speaking, after updating to version 1.1.0.1.00, users have been encountering some color balance discrepancy, an issue that has been resolved through the present update. Moreover, this latest version also includes all the functions and modifications added by the previous firmware.

So, if you are in this situation, then get the downloadable package, and copy it onto an SD card that has been previously initialized by the camera. Ensure that the battery is fully charged, save all your important data, and insert the card into the device.

Now, power on the EOS camera, go to Menu → Other Functions → Firmware, and press the “SET” button. At the confirmation screen, select “Ok,” and then press the “SET” button again to initiate the update process, which should take about 5 minutes to complete.

When the upgrade finishes, the camera will automatically restart and show a screen displaying the new firmware; select “Ok,” set all the settings the camera asks for, turn it off, remove the SD card, and that’s all.

That being said, go ahead and download Firmware 1.1.1.1.00 for Canon EOS C300 Cameras, take into account the above-mentioned aspects, apply it, and enjoy your newly updated camera.
