Today, Canon has outed new firmware packages targeted at some of its network cameras, namely version 1.1.1 compatible with the VB-M700F, VB-M600D, and VB-M600VE devices, as well as 1.2.1 developed for the VB-H710F, VB-H610VE, and VB-H610D surveillance products.

These newly-released versions improve the compatible devices’ frame rates that were reduced due to the network connectivity strength.

When it comes to the suitable OSes, the fresh updates can be applied on computers running under both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, as well as under all available variants of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 platforms.

As for upgrading your network camera, get and run the proper executable for your device model, run the “NetworkCameraFWUP.exe” from the newly-created folder, and click the “Agree” button at the license agreement dialog.

Now, you can apply the new update by either filling all fields in the camera information screen or loading the required information using a camera specification file. Either way, it would be best if you referred to the user manual provided along with the download to make sure you perform the upgrade correctly.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your network camera model, get the downloadable file, refer to the user manual, and upgrade your Canon device to the latest firmware version.
