Buffalo has just rolled out a new firmware package developed for its WMR-300 wireless travel router, namely version 1.70, which resolves the phenomenon where iOS devices sometimes couldn’t connect to the router.

In addition to that, you can now properly set the maximum number of forwarded ports, guest users will be able to connect to the AirStation even when it is in access point mode, and entering correct information in routing settings won’t be followed by an error anymore.

Moreover, this newly-released update also resolves an issue that prevented domain name from being sent to LAN-side devices using the DHCP server function.

When it comes to installing firmware 1.70, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and connect your WMR-300 to the computer via an Ethernet cable. This step is recommended in order to avoid any disconnections that might affect the upgrade.

Afterwards, log into your router’s administration page, go to “Update AirStation Firmware,” click “Browse,” and navigate and select file “wmr300-170” from the newly-created folder.

Now, simply wait for the displayed progress bar to fill up (about 6 minutes) and make sure you don’t interrupt the process in any way. Once upgraded, the power LED will either blink green or turn off.

That being said, download Buffalo WMR-300 Router Firmware 1.70, carefully apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
