Today, Blackmagic Design has announced the availability of firmware update utility version 1.9.11 suitable for all its digital cameras, which includes changes specifically developed for the Studio Camera HD and 4K imaging units.

Specifically speaking, this fresh release adds new options within the camera menu and includes support for independent control of front and rear tally brightness.

In addition to that, if these compatible cameras are upgraded, they will also benefit from a “Ch 2 used Ch 1 Input” option in Audio settings, as well as from more camera settings information in display overlay.

Even though no changes are made, Blackmagic’s Cinema Camera EF and MFT, Production Camera 4K, and URSA (EF, PL, HDMI, and Broadcast) device models are also supported by this update.

When it comes to installing the release, first save the appropriate package for your system configuration. The producer has provided one archive compatible with Mac OS X platforms, and one suitable for Windows 7 and 8 OSes (only 64-bit variants).

Moreover, as Blackmagic recommends, you should uninstall any camera utility already present on your computer (if any), so that you are able to apply a fresh utility version, thus ensuring all your changes take effect properly.

Therefore, download BlackMagic Camera Firmware Update Utility 1.9.11, apply it on your system, and upgrade your digital camera. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
