The new package updates AiCloud prebuilt binaries

After rolling out AsusWrt-Merlin Router Firmware 378.52.0 just a few days ago, the developer has announced the availability for yet another stable software build, namely 378.52.2, which updated AiCloud prebuilt binaries for MIPS models, and more.

The present firmware also applies a patch for MIPS kernel ported from 376_3861 in order to improve CTF support, and fixes the issue where, unless HTTPS was enabled for the WebUI, AiCloud would fail to start casing the key/cert to be missing.

In addition to that, Merlin’s update also resolves an ASUS bug that corrupted DDNS hostname after backing up router configuration.

When it comes to installing this release, simply save and extract the appropriate archive for your router model, log into its administration page, and click the “Choose File” button from the firmware update section.

Afterwards, navigate and select the .trx file from the newly created folder and allow your wireless unit to upload and install the new firmware. Bear in mind that interrupting this process can result in serious device malfunctions.

As you can see, this release can be applied like any ASUS official firmware, and can also be reverted at any time by installing the appropriate software. However, do not load a saved copy of your settings from one firmware to another, as that will improperly configure the device.

That being said, download AsusWrt-Merlin Router Firmware 378.52.2 for your specific model, apply it, and constantly check our website to stay informed when newer versions are available for your device.
