If it were to use a cliche, we'd say "Welcome to the future!", but things are far from common, when it gets to one of Asus' newest additions to the motherboard family, the Sabertooth Z77.

Asus Sabertooth Z77 is the kind of motherboard you either love or hate at the very first sight; nevertheless, skipping the looks part, below the nifty design, users can find a lot of high-grade technology designed to offer enhanced stability and brutal performance for serious gaming.

The first striking detail is the Thermal Armor, an Asus exclusive: a thick cover spread across the entire board, channeling the airflow coming from dual dedicated intake fans and dramatically improving the cooling.

Together with the Thermal Radar, the Armor feature also ensures real-time watch over temperature; the Radar system is made of several physical heat sensors placed in the key areas of the motherboard and which deliver accurate data on the thermal status of your gear. Dust and electrostatic discharge protection are also present on the Sabertooth Z77 board for an even safer and more reliable exploitation.

This board also sports military-class components such as chokes, capacitors and MOSFETs for stable performance, while the USB 3.0 boost technology can deliver up to 170% increases in data transfer speed.

Upgrading the BIOS can now be done even without a CPU or RAM installed: just power up the boards, insert an USB stick with the BIOS file and press the dedicated flash button for 3 seconds - there you go!

As for the tech specs, the Sabertooth Z77 can handle 2nd and 3rd "Core i" processors, an amx of 32 GB DDR3, SLI and CrossFireX arrays and also boasts a lot of SATAIII 6Gb/s and USB 3.0 connectors for the ultimate convenience.
