NETGEAR has just rolled out the 1.0.0.30 firmware version developed for EX7000 Nighthawk AC1900 range extenders, which is the device’s stock firmware that might be useful if future upgrades turn up faulty.

To prevent these unpleasant events, you should know how to apply this version properly, and to do so you must first write down all settings changed from the default values and extract file “EX7000-V1.0.0.30_1.0.72.chk” from within the downloadable archive.

Afterwards, since wireless technology might disconnect for no reason, make sure to establish a wired connection between the computer and NETGEAR’s EX7000 extender in order to avoid any problems.

If all is ok, log into your device’s web interface, go to Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade, click Browse, navigate and select the extracted firmware file, click Upload, and wait for the extender to do its job.

At this point, initial software is transferred to the device and then applied once the upload has finished. Also, bear in mind that, while your device is performing these steps, you mustn’t reboot your computer/range extender or remove the Ethernet cable, as this can cause various device malfunctions.

Once firmware 1.0.0.30 has been applied, it would be a good idea to log into the WebUI once more and check the currently installed software version to ensure the process has been successful.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR EX7000 Range Extender Firmware 1.0.0.30, take into account all aforementioned aspects, remember the update procedure if possible, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
