After not even a week since the previous Kindle Fire HD 2 firmware 11.3.0.1, Amazon has outed another firmware package developed for this device, namely version 11.3.0.3.

As the official changelog highlights, this software update includes enhanced features and general improvements which raise the device’s overall performance and stability. However, you can apply the firmware to discover the changes that have been made yourself.

To do so, you should know that the update is delivered wirelessly for each user. Nevertheless, if you’re anxious about the new version, you can also download the firmware and install it manually.

For that, first check the currently installed iteration by going to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates; if the displayed version doesn’t match the latest one, then get the update and copy it onto the root folder of Kindle’s internal storage.

Ensure that the transfer is successful, and go to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates, and then tap the “Update” button. At this point, the device reboots and the installation process starts, so make sure you don’t interrupt it.

When the update finishes, the Kindle will restart once more, and if you take another look at the currently installed software version, it should now be 11.3.0.3.

That being said, follow the link below, download the bin file, and update the Kindle’s firmware version.
