British mixer manufacturer Allen & Heath has recently released a new firmware for their GLD-80 Digital Mixer. The changelog for this version lists a lot of features, improvements and fixes for several issues.

To begin with, this update adds support for the forthcoming GLD iPad app and for the ME personal mixer system. Other features included are MIDI control of Aux and FX send level and access to I/O port option settings.

Numerous improvements have been made and, now, there is status bar button access to USB audio page, improved assignment drag and drop, and quick return to Home screen by pressing Processing key.

Issues that have been fixed include the auto-reset of the console after changing I/O module and USB subsystem problem that occasionally caused the digital mixer to lock up.

The GLD-80 is a compact digital mixer with scalable, remote I/O, featuring an 8.4 inch color touchscreen for graphical view or setup and 20 faders, 4 layers, 80 channel strips in a freely customizable layout.
