The new versions consist of several download records compatible with a specific SKU only

Today, ASUS has released new firmware versions targeted at two of its mobile tablets, namely version 4.7.3 and 10.16.1.26.4, developed for the MeMO Pad FHD 10 and Fonepad Note 6 devices, respectively.

In the absence of an official changelog, I can only assume that the new versions include fixes and enhancements that improve the devices’ overall performance. However, if you are curious about the changes, you can also apply the firmware and find out yourself what the update does.

In order to do that, you should know that these versions consist of several download records compatible with a specific stock-keeping unit (SKU) only.

Therefore, make sure you choose the correct firmware from the available ones because the update procedure isn’t capable of switching between SKUs or install an earlier firmware version than the ones already installed.

So, if you don’t know your tablet’s SKU, go to Settings → About Tablet → Build Number, and from there, read and remember the stock-keeping unit, which consists of the letters before the build number’s first underscore line.

Now, depending on which device you own, download Firmware 10.16.1.26.4 for ASUS Fonepad Note 6 or download Firmware 4.7.3 for ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10, and make sure you follow the correct SKU-related link.
