The releases fix infosvr issue and add Yandex.DNS support

ASUS has just made available firmware versions 3.0.0.4.376.3835 and 3.0.0.4.376.3754 developed only for its RT-N11P and RT-N10P V2 wireless routers, respectively, which include a few changes worth making.

Specifically speaking, while ASUS’ RT-N10P V2 device gets its infosvr security issue fixed, the RT-N11P router receives Yandex.DNS support, as well as an updated dictionary.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade your wireless unit to the latest firmware version, save the appropriate archive for your specific model, extract it, and establish a wired connection between the router and the computer using an Ethernet cable.

Afterwards, log into your device’s administration page (username and password should be required), and go to Administration > Firmware Upgrade. Also, make sure that the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this update.

Now, if all is ok, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-unzipped .trx file, hit “Upload,” and wait for your device to do its job.

Bear in mind that, while installing, you mustn’t reboot your router/computer, remove any power/Ethernet cable, or close the web browser. Doing so will interrupt the upgrade, and this can lead to various device malfunctions.

That being said, download ASUS RT-N10P V2 Firmware 3.0.0.4.376.3754 or download  ASUS RT-N11P Firmware 3.0.0.4.376.3835 depending on the model you own, apply it on your router, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
