ASUS has recently launched firmware version 10.4.5.45 for their Transformer AiO P1801. This release addresses the tablet mode of the device that, after the installation procedure, will run Android 4.1.1.

In a previous post, we've mentioned what this device is all about and how it turns from tablet to desktop PC, accompanied, of course, by a link to the full drivers list.

Unfortunately, the recent firmware comes with no release notes on what has been fixed or improved.

Users’ opinions on this all-in-one, convertible PC are, as always, both positive and negative. To start with what has been highly appreciated on this device, we must first look at its specifications, where we find Intel's fast CPU in the desktop and NVIDIA's Tegra 3 unit in the tablet.

On the downside, some have reported the design of it as being stupid as they would have liked to use the tablet in portrait mode when reading or writing and claim that reading documents in landscape mode is “silly.”

Below is the link to the firmware. Check your SKU version and download the one that is appropriate for your device.
