14 DAY TRIAL // ASUS has outed a new firmware version for its FonePad device, namely the 3.1.17 package, which consists of several files for various SKUs (stock keeping units).
Although there is no change log whatsoever, the newly released firmware probably includes some workarounds that may improve the device’s overall performance and stability.
Bear in mind that the update process isn’t capable of doing SKU conversions or downgrade versions, and moreover, installing a wrong stock keeping unit may result in an update failure and device malfunction.
