ASUS has released a new firmware version that is targeted at its PadFone 2 device, namely package 10.4.16.8, which consists of separate files compatible with a specific SKU (stock-keeping unit).

If updated, the PadFone 2’s camera performance will be optimized, focus sensitivity will be improved, and audio/video quality will be enhanced.

Moreover, the firmware improves the wireless stability, camera and video light functions, and the system’s compatibility and performance as well.

Bear in mind that the update process isn’t capable of converting between SKU versions, so make sure you download the correct one. Moreover, downgrading to an earlier one may lead to an update failure, and therefore, device malfunction.

To find out your SKU, go to Settings → About PadFone → Build number, and from there, check the letters before the underscore line – that is the stock-keeping unit version that you should install on your device.

Now that you know all the important aspects, follow the link below, and from the list, make sure to choose the one that best describes the SKU that is currently installed on your PadFone 2 device.
