ASUS has outed firmware version 10.6.1.25 targeted at its MeMo Pad Smart 10 tablet, which installs the Android 4.2 operating system for various stock-keeping units (SKUs).

Although the release has no official changelog available, I suppose that if this latest firmware is installed, the device’s overall performance and stability would be improved.

However, if you consider installing the package, you should know that the update process isn’t capable of converting between SKU versions.

Moreover, installing an earlier firmware version or a wrong SKU may not be supported, and might lead to an update failure and device malfunction.

So, to check your stock-keeping unit, go to “Settings,” select “About Tablet,” and from there choose “Build Number.” At this point you should be able to read the SKU, which consists of the letters that are before the first underscore line.

Now, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your newly-discovered stock-keeping unit version.
