ASUS has made available a new firmware package, namely version 10.2.4.1, targeted at its PadFone mobile tablet, which promises to improve the device’s overall performance in both phone and tablet modes, and not only that.

The gadget now has more powerful wireless and bluetooth connections, an even stable FM radio broadcast, and an improved switching function between bluetooth earphone and speaker.

Moreover, ASUS managed to enhance the e-mail function, improve the SD data storage function and the phone’s security level, and tweaked the applications’ interface and performance.

As for installing this firmware version, you should know that the device has a specific stock-keeping unit (SKU) already installed, and for updating, you need to apply the same SKU-related package.

Therefore, go to Settings → About PadFone → Build Number, and there you should be able to read your SKU, which consists of all the letters that are before the first underscore line.

Bear in mind that the update process isn’t capable of switching between SKU versions, and installing a wrong one (even an earlier version) may not be supported, and might lead to an update failure and, therefore, device malfunction.

So, if you consider applying this package, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your SKU version.
