Make sure to download the correct SKU, so that the device doesn’t encounter any problems

ASUS has made available firmware versions 10.6.8.12 and the 3.2.2, compatible with its PadFone Infinity and FonePad devices, respectively.

While the files suitable for the FonePad don’t come along with any change log whatsoever, the ones targeted at the PadFone Infinity should improve the device’s overall performance and stability, and recalibrate its touch sensitivity.

The available packages consist of multiple separate files, which are developed for a specific SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) – so make sure you download the correct package.

Installing the wrong one may damage the device or cause it not to work properly any more, and moreover, the firmware update process cannot change the SKU version or get an earlier one.

To verify the stock keeping unit that is already installed on your device, go to Settings → About Tablet (or PadFone) → Build Number, and there you should be able to read the SKU, which consists of all the letters that are before the underscore line.

Now, follow one of the links below depending on the device you own, and from the list, make sure to choose the one that best describes the SKU already installed on your mobile tablet.
