ASUS has outed a new firmware package targeted at its FonePad Note 6 tablet, namely version 10.16.1.36.1, which includes several fixes and improvements that increase the device’s overall performance.

Specifically speaking, this fresh update enhances modem and system stability, upgrades GPS and Bluetooth firmware, and fixes unexpected shutdown issues for applications such as Email, Contacts, Gallery, and Miracast. Moreover, it also modifies Japanese text strings for several features.

As for installing the release, you should know that it consists of several download records, each compatible with a specific SKU, and that the upgrade process isn’t capable of installing an earlier firmware version or a different SKU than the currently installed ones.

Therefore, in order to find out all the characteristics, go to Settings → About Tablet → Build Number from your tablet’s menu, and check everything you need to know.

To be clearer, if the build number displays “WW_fonepad-10.X.X.X._2013xxxx,” then the SKU is “WW” and the firmware version is “10.X.X.X” – so make sure you download the compatible package.

All you need to do now (if you consider applying this update) is to download Firmware 10.16.1.36.1 for ASUS FonePad Note 6 that is compatible with your tablet’s characteristics, install this newly released update, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
