Today, ASRock has made available new BIOS packages targeted at its FM2A55M-VG3+ and FM2A75M Pro4+ motherboards, namely version 2.00 and 2.30, respectively, which can be applied in 3 different ways.

When it comes to changes, these new versions add support for target TDP on FM2+ accelerated processing units, as well as for AMD’s Athlon IIx4 860K CPU, and update the BIOS’ microcode. In addition to that, the FM2A55M-VG3+ board also gets its Agesa code updated.

As for flashing the motherboard’s BIOS, you can choose between 3 different update methods.

Just to be clear, in order to use the Instant Flash package, you must save and extract its content onto a USB drive, insert the removable storage into the computer’s port, and enter the BIOS setup menu. From there, simply go to the Instant Flash utility, and execute the file from the USB stick.

As for the DOS file, the procedure is quite similar: the content of the archive must be copied onto a USB stick just like above, only this time you must run the file from a DOS command screen.

Last but not least, the Windows archive describes the easiest method: simply download and extract the package, close all programs, and run the executable with administrator rights. After the computer reboots (it does this automatically), just follow the on-screen instructions for a complete upgrade.

That being said, download ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+ BIOS 2.00 or download ASRock FM2A75M Pro4+ BIOS 2.30, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and update your BIOS to the latest version.
