14 DAY TRIAL // Today, ASRock has made available several new BIOS versions targeted at some of its motherboards, which adjust CPU settings, improve graphics card compatibility and Ultra Fast mode, and update microcode and EZ OC table.
In order to be clear about these new releases, the producer has provided BIOS versions 1.10, 1.60, 1.90, 2.90, and 3.00 suitable for its 980DE3/U3S3 R2.0, Fatal1ty Z87 Killer, Z87M OC Formula, FM2A88X Pro+, and FM2A88X-ITX+, respectively.
Moreover, ASRock has also made available BIOS update 2.10 targeted at Z97 Pro4 and Z87 OC Formula/ac device models, as well as version 2.20 compatible with its Z87 OC Formula and FM2A78M-ITX+ boards.
However, bear in mind that not all aforementioned changes are valid for each and every compatible device. Make sure you read the release notes for your specific model, which are available on the description page.
When it comes to installation, an important aspect that you should take into account is that there are 3 different files describing distinct update methods from which you must choose: Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows.
In addition to that, prior to flashing a newer BIOS version, it would be a good idea to load default BIOS settings in order to ensure that no problems will be encountered (upgrading on overclocked values isn’t recommended).
