AMD has just rolled out a new Catalyst Graphics package targeted at its A-Series desktop Accelerated Processor Units (APU), namely version 14.201.1008, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems.

Due to the fact that no changelog is provided whatsoever, I can only assume that the newly released package improves overall system performance and stability.

When it comes to the supported graphics chipsets, as the INF file highlights, this new release can be applied on computers that include one of AMD’s Radeon R3, R5, R6, R7, and R9 series components, and is also compatible with several of the Radeon HD 5000, 6000, 7000, and 8000 series chips.

As for installing this update, simply save the appropriate executable for your bit architecture, as there are two downloadable files available, run it, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful upgrade.

In addition to that, if not requested by the wizard, it would be best if you performed a manual system restart in order to ensure that all changes take effect properly. Also, even though this package might work on other OSes as well, we recommend applying the driver only on the aforementioned platforms.

That being said, download AMD Catalyst A-Series Desktop APU Graphics Driver 14.201.1008, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your system’s graphics version.
