AMD has made available a new version of its Unified performance display driver, namely build 14.301.1009 beta, which is targeted at FirePro, FireGL, and FireMV graphics card series for workstations.

When it comes to compatible OSes, this release can be applied on supported system configurations that are powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms, either 32- or 64-bit architectures.

As for the package content, besides the obvious graphics files, this update includes OpenCL Runtime, DisplayPort and HDMI audio drivers, as well as AMD Catalyst Pro Control Center.

In addition to that, AMD’s release also applies AHCI, RAID, USB 3.0 (both hub and USB 3.0 host controller), USB filter, and SMBus drivers – installed versions differ from one OS to another.

Therefore, if your workstation configuration is supported by this update, then save and run the downloadable executable, wait for it to extract all required files for this installation, and close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade.

Now simply follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete, and perform a system reboot so that all changes take effect properly. If the wizard doesn’t request it automatically, make sure to perform this step manually.

That being said, download AMD FirePro Unified Driver 14.301.1009 Beta, apply it on your workstation, and constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
