AMD has made a new variant of its Catalyst Legacy graphics driver available, namely version 13.9, which is compatible with both bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows Vista and 7 operating systems and is also WHQL certified.

This newly released update is developed for AMD’s Radeon HD 2000, HD 3000, and HD 4000 graphics card series, both desktop- and notebook-compatible units, as well as for all of its Radeon HD AGP series products.

In addition to that, you should also know that the driver requires POSIX shared memory to be enabled on the system, so that the update runs properly.

Besides the obvious display driver (version 8.97.100.11), the package also contains the 10.0.937.2 OpenCL driver, the 2012.1116.1514.27190 Catalyst Control Center, and includes support for most of the important languages.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your system’s bit architecture, get the package, and update your graphics card.
