Today, AMD has made available its 15.101.1001 WHQL Catalyst Graphics package developed for Radeon Embedded GPU and APU products, which is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants.

Bear in mind that, even though other platforms might also be compatible, it isn’t recommended that you try installing the driver on OSes other than the aforementioned ones.

When it comes to the valid processing units, this update will work only with AMD’s E8860, E6760, and E6460 embedded GPUs, or FT3b and FT3 G-Series SOC products. Also, G-Series (FT1) and R-Series (FP3, FP2, and FS1r2) APUs are also compatible with this release.

In terms of installation, the process is quite easy; first make sure your system configuration is supported by AMD’s new driver, save the downloadable archive, and unzip it in order to extract all files required for the upgrade.

Afterwards, navigate and locate the “Setup.exe” file from within the newly created folder, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once finished, make sure you perform a reboot in order to allow all changes to take effect. You can do that by either manually restarting your computer or giving permission to the wizard so that it can do that for you.

That being told, download AMD Embedded GPU and APU Driver 15.101.1001, apply it on your computer, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
