AMD has just rolled out version 14.50 beta of its FirePro Unified graphics driver targeted at workstation graphics configurations, after almost a month since its FirePro Unified Driver 14.301.1010 stable release.

Just like the previous update, this version is also compatible with both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, but only if the workstation’s graphics power comes from a FirePro, FireGL, and FireMV series card.

As for the package content, besides the obvious performance display driver, AMD’s release contains OpenCL Runtime, DisplayPort, and HDMI audio drivers, as well as AMD Catalyst Pro Control Center.

Even though the versions aren’t the save for each OS, files such as USB 3.0 (both hub and USB 3.0 host controller), USB filter, AHCI and RAID, as well as SMBus drivers are also included within this update.

When it comes to installing AMD’ 14.50 beta package, first make sure that your system configuration is supported, save and run the downloadable package, allow it to extract all files required for the installation, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen.

Last but not least, if the wizard doesn’t request a system reboot upon completion, it would be a good idea to perform a restart manually in order to make sure that all changes take effect properly.

That being said, download AMD FirePro Unified Driver 14.50 Beta, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
