The AMD Catalyst 12.11 Enduro Performance driver is an updated driver for the Mobility 7970M graphics board that adds additional DirectX 9 performance improvements.

By updating to this new driver, users will get up to 90% increased performance in the Just Cause 2 game.

Be advised, some users who tried to install it on Windows 7 got the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) after rebooting. This is actually a very common issue with the new driver.

However, installing it on Windows 8 is no biggie.

In fact, some say that AMD focused their efforts on making the driver suitable only for Windows 8. Until AMD will issue a statement on what was on their mind at the time, these will remain only speculations.

At a closer inspection of the update and after reading feedback from other users, a new issue emerges: some notebooks are not compatible with the new driver.

According to AMD, any notebook launched after the driver release, Toshiba, Sony VAIO and Panasonic notebooks are not compatible with this release.

The download link is provided below. Best of luck with the install.
