ADATA, an electronics manufacturer from Taiwan, launched firmware version 5.0.7a in order to handle some issues reported with the X910, SX900, SP900, SP800, S511, S510 and S396 SSDs.

The changelog that comes with this release says that version 5.0.7a fixes the power management condition where the device failed to respond to COMWAKE, which might have resulted in the SSD not responding without being reset by the host.

Also, the normalized value calculation for SMART Attribute 9 has been tweaked, as well as the extended SMART self-test, which used to be buggy and cause unexpected read errors.

The reported error for SATA recovery sequence coming out of PS1 and the issues that used to cause low read thresholds during read disturb operations have been fixed.

The new iteration also fixes the issue that could have caused the drive to be unresponsive based on a flash program failure.
