This update resolves a specific camera freeze issue

Just now, SIGMA has rolled out a new update targeted at dp2 Quattro users, namely firmware version 1.03, which now allows owners to develop RAW data (X3F files) on the camera internally.

In addition to that, the present version also adds a new function that gives the ability to display RAW data (X3F files) taken by other SIGMA digital cameras. However, this feature excludes files from SIGMA SD9 and SD10 imaging devices.

Moreover, users that update their units to this release won’t experience any camera freeze events when trying to play JPEG files developed by SIGMA Photo Pro. Also, the phenomenon where the dp2 Quattro would occasionally reset file numbers will be history.

When it comes to installing this version, first check the currently installed firmware by going to Setup Menu > Information > Version, and see if it isn’t either newer or matching this release. If it is, then no further action is required – simply enjoy your camera.

Otherwise, if the camera is powered by software 1.02 or older, then save the downloadable .bin file onto a formatted SD memory card (must be initialized by the camera), and insert it into the appropriate card slot.

Now go to Setup Menu > Information > Firmware Update, select “Yes” at the “Start Firmware Update ?” message, and allow the dp2 camera to do its job. Upon completion, a restart will be automatically perform announcing a successful upgrade.

Therefore, download SIGMA dp2 Quattro Camera Firmware 1.03, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and apply the latest version in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
